Be a Mentor

Walk Alongside Transformation

Mentors are needed for our residential recovery programs for men working to overcome addiction and homelessness. These men are doing the hard work of change. A trusted friend walking beside them can make all the difference, and you might find yourself transformed, too.

Why Mentors Matter

Meals and shelter meet urgent needs. But lasting transformation happens through relationships. Many of the men in New Beginnings have gone years without someone who truly listens and shows up. As a mentor, you become that steady presence, proof that change is possible and that they’re worth fighting for.

What It Takes

Mentoring is for men only and asks for three things:

A Servant's Heart

A genuine desire to listen and encourage

Time

A real, ongoing commitment to show up

Dedication

A steady presence through the ups and downs of recovery

You're Never Doing It Alone

Say Yes to a Life-Changing Friendship

A man in the New Beginnings program is fighting for a fresh start. Your friendship could be the encouragement he needs to keep going.

And you won’t do it alone. Chaplain Tom Myers trains and supports every mentor from day one, providing guidance and encouragement every step of the way.

One friendship. One man. One transformed life at a time.
