At Union Rescue Mission Wichita, real change takes time and intentionality. Our residential programs guide men through a journey of recovery, spiritual growth, and job readiness. By sponsoring a Life Change Station, you provide the critical foundation a man needs to complete this journey, giving him the environment and the resources to move from survival to stability.
When you sponsor a Life Change Station, you establish a launchpad for:
Comprehensive recovery support to address the root causes of addiction and homelessness
Spiritual mentorship through daily Bible study, discipleship, and pastoral care
Practical life-skills training, including computer literacy, resume building, and job readiness skills
The Anatomy of a Life Change Station
A Life Change Station is far more than just a bed. It is a personalized, fully equipped 8' by 8' station where a man can safely focus on his recovery and future. Each station includes:
Personal Living Space
A bed, personal storage, and a desk for studying, reflection, and prayer.

Tailored Resources
Curriculum, study materials, and daily devotions designed to help men navigate addiction recovery and mental health stabilization.
Professional Guidance
Direct support from Our Life Recovery Coaches and counselors who walk alongside each man daily to establish personal goals and accountability.
Community Re-engagement
Opportunities for constructive group outings, faith-building retreats, and workforce integration tools that prepare men to independently step back into the community.
Your Sponsorship Impact
Your investment provides three full years of support for a station. We have 71 total stations available for sponsorship across two vital pathways.
For a $2,500 one-time investment, you can sponsor either:
- A Residential Station to help a man overcome chronic homelessness, addiction, and poverty (52 stations available)
- A Specialized Re-entry Station to help a man successfully transition back into society after incarceration (19 stations available
Sponsorships remain completely anonymous to program participants, but sponsors will be notified of their specific station designation to help guide your prayers and notes of encouragement.

What is a Life Change Station?
A Life Change Station is a fully funded space within our residential recovery program. Your sponsorship covers the physical space, Life Recovery Coaching, curriculum, and community re-engagement activities a man needs during his journey of transformation.
How long does a sponsorship last?
A single $2,500 sponsorship funds a Life Change Station for three full years, supporting multiple men as they progress through the program sequentially.
Will the man using the station know I sponsored it?
To protect the dignity and focus of our program participants, sponsorships are kept anonymous. However, you will know exactly which station you have funded so that you can faithfully pray for the men utilizing it.
Can I write a note of encouragement to the man at my station?
Yes. We welcome sponsors to submit notes of scriptural encouragement and prayers. Our chaplaincy team will ensure these are shared appropriately with the men currently utilizing the residential stations.
