Joe Schroeder became URM’s COO in April 2024, having joined as Director of Operations in December 2021. He brings 34 years of law enforcement service, including more than 28 years with the Wichita Police Department, where he retired as a Lieutenant, followed by four and a half years as Captain/Deputy Police Chief for the Andover Police Department. Joe also retired from the Kansas Air National Guard as a Chief Master Sergeant (E9) after three overseas tours and roles ranging from Aircraft Mechanic to Command and Control Battle Management Specialist.
Beyond URM, Joe supports veterans through the Veterans of Foreign Wars, serving as a VFW Rider who honors fallen service members and their families. He’s an active member of NewSpring Church. Joe and his wife, Lisa, have been married 36 years and have two adult children and two grandchildren.
